When Till and John decided that they had gained enough business know-how from their studies to follow their dream, they quit their jobs and went to find the coolest salads and most innovative pizzas in the world to bring them to their restaurant.
California’s lush salads, dining in Manhattan, and Naples’ pizza culture greatly shaped their cuisine.
As if it were a movie plot: “Two guys, who went to kindergarten together, roam the world to gather knowledge and ideas, and in the end they open up their own pizza shop.”

Nachdem Till und John beschlossen, dass sie für Ihren Traum durch ihr Studium genug Business-Know-How erlangt haben, quittierten sie Ihre Jobs und begaben sich auf die Suche nach den coolsten Salaten und innovativsten Pizzen dieser Welt, um diese in Ihrem Restaurant zusammen zu bringen. Die üppigen Salate Kaliforniens, Dining in Manhattan und die Pizzakultur Neapels hat hat die beiden kulinarisch geprägt.
Als wäre es der Plot für einen Film: "Zwei Jungs, die bereits zusammen in den Kindergarten gingen, ziehen in die Welt, um Wissen und Ideen zu sammeln und am Ende ‘ne Pizzabude zu eröffnen."

Could sound a little dull, but behind the three big letters is a most elaborate concept:
The ROK (Rock-our-kitchen) is a tribute to all who are excited when a restaurant and its menu offer something completely new. A call to anyone who likes to make waiters sweat and fall into madness in the face of orders like, arugula instead of cheese on the Quattro Formaggi, but a lot of garlic and onions – but only red ones, please. You can mix and customise at ROK until the cows come home. Follow the suggestions of the staff or say whatever you want!
The kitchen holds true to the whole concept: They totally ROK it with orders, toppings and mixing it up.

Könnte platt klingen, hinter den drei großen Lettern verbirgt sich allerdings eine ausgefuchste Idee: Das ROK (“Rock-our-kitchen”) ist ein Tribut an alle, die mit der sprudelnden Lust auf Neues durch die Küchen und über die Speisekarten schnuppern. Eine Aufforderung an jeden, der dem Service den Schweiß auf die Stirn und den Wahnsinn ins Gesicht treibt mit Bestellungen wie Rucola statt Käse auf der Quattro Formaggi, doch dafür extra viel Knoblauch und Zwiebeln – aber nur Rote, bitte. Denn im ROK darf kombiniert werden bis die Schwarte kracht. Nimm die Vorschläge der Crew oder sag was du willst! Und passend zu diesem Konzept wird in der Küche bestellt, belegt, gemischt. "Gerockt" halt.

When you want salads to be more than just a side, or you don’t want a pizza that you’ve eaten in thousands of other places, then this is the spot for your lunch break. And, let the boys convince you that they are real wine lovers over a few glasses in the evening!

Und es hat sich verdammt nochmal gelohnt! Wenn man Salaten nicht nur den Platz als Beilage einräumt oder eine Pizza, wie man sie nicht schon an tausend anderen Orten gegessen hat, geniessen will, dann ist hier der richtige Ort für eine Mittagspause. Und davon, dass die zwei Jungs echte Weinliebhaber sind, kann man sich dann abends bei einigen Gläsern überzeugen!
